I-Tero is a way for dentists to get an impression of your teeth and dental health instead of using messy molds or harmful x-rays. It is one of the technologies we employ at My Plantation Dentist to make your dental visit easier for you.
We feel it’s a safer alternative for x-ray radiation exposure for our patients and staff. It’s easier to get an exact picture because a patient doesn’t have to bite into an x-ray film holder.
Any time we need to see the teeth or gums, and what’s happening inside those areas, we use I-Tero instead of x-rays or a radiograph. During tooth replacements and restorative procedures where an x-ray would normally be used, we employ I-Tero scanning. We also use I-Tero as a replacement for impressions when a bridge or crown is needed.
